MY SPANISH BIOGRAPHY
In this spanish project we were asked to write our own biography in spanish. We did our first draft in English and worked on out from there. The main restrictions we had on our biographies were that it couldn't be longer than a half a page, no contractions, all in present tense and we could either write it in first or third person. We also had to make a video of ourselves speaking each of our drafts. We did this so that we could see the progression of our biographies from start to finish.
Below is the video of me speaking my first draft (it is in third person).
Below is the video of me speaking my second draft (please excuse the laughter and background).
Below is me speaking my third and final draft.
Reflection
How have your Spanish skills, both written and spoken, improved since taking on this project?
In my opinion I feel like my Spanish skills written did approve a lot, I am more aware of some grammatical errors, spelling errors and accents and tildes. For my spoken skills I don not think that they improved a whole lot, the reason for this is because I don't think reading something I wrote helped me remember Spanish or speak it more fluently. I did learn some new vocabulary and learned to pronounce words better.
How has your confidence improved in speaking Spanish?
Like I said above, I did learn some new vocabulary and pronunciations and in my opinion that is helping me become more comfortable ad confident with Spanish. The reason I get nervous or not confident sometimes is because I am scared that I will say something incorrectly or that I will mess up and mix up words in a sentence. But I think I am definitely getting more and more confident with Spanish each week.
